Bridge is a tactical card game based on one of the world’s most popular games. These days, in the time of the pandemic, it’s not that easy to get everyone together for a game of bridge. But with this online game, players can still practice their bridge skills.
How to play Bridge?
Bridge is played by four players, each forming a partnership with the player sitting directly across from them. After the cards are dealt, the game begins with an auction. The players make a “bid” by stating the number of “tricks” they think their team can win. The players making the last bid must then win that bid plus 6. The final highest bid is called the “contract”. Players can bid or pass. Bidding ends when three players in a row choose to pass. Once bidding is over, the playing begins. A player places a card on the table, and the other players must follow, matching the suit if possible. The highest trump card wins, and if no trump card is played the highest card of any other suit wins. Contract points are awarded for fulfilling the contract, and the opposing team receives points when the contract is not fulfilled.
